Mosaic Holiday Box – a Sparkling Gift Idea!

This holiday season, make something with your own hands: a magic mosaic holiday box! This workshop is designed so that you create a gift box to be used and loved, not just unwrapped and forgotten.

What’s the Class About?

In this beginner-friendly, two-part workshop, you’ll design and assemble a vibrant custom mosaic on a beautiful stained wooden box. The box will be lined with plush velvet and filled with a wide variety of colorful pre-cut glass and ceramic tiles. Perfect for holding jewelry, love notes, or small treasures you want to keep close.

No prior art or mosaic experience needed — I’ll be right there with personalized coaching to help you succeed – no matter what your skill level.

This holiday session is strictly limited to 8 students so everyone gets the guidance they need.

How the two sessions work: both classes – one price.

• Session 1 (Dec 6): Designing and placing your glass and ceramics.
• Session 2 (Dec 12): Grouting, polishing, and learning how to preserve your holiday box properly. Class is normally about 2 to 2.5 hours.

Please note: grouting can only happen once your design has fully set, so both sessions are needed to finish and grout your box. We understand the holidays can be a demanding time. If Session 2 doesn’t work with your schedule, reach out to me directly. We’ll find an arrangement that works, including the option for me to grout and deliver your finished box myself for an additional $50 fee.

Stained wooden box with velvet lining, pre-cut glass and ceramic mosaic tiles, adhesive, grout, sealant, and all tools needed for both sessions.

Please note: while all glass is provided pre-cut, it is still glass — minor nicks are possible. Band-Aids are on hand in class.

Cancellations

A quick note on cancellations: I know plans change! If you need to cancel 7 or more full days before Session 1, you’ll receive a full refund within 3 business days. Canceling 3–6 full days before Session 1 earns you 100% store credit of the amount paid, toward a future class. Canceling less than 3 full days before Session 1 earns 50% store credit of the amount paid. Unfortunately, day-of cancellations and no-shows for Session 1 aren’t eligible for a refund or credit, since materials are prepped per person in advance.
