African Rose really doesn’t resemble anything like an African Rose. 😉 As soon as this painting took shape, she spoke of my relationships with some of the most beautiful, caring, kind women I have ever known who lived in Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. They cared for me with such grace when I worked there. I am ever grateful for what I learned from their presence.
