Bellingham Food Bank — Nourishing Dignity, Choice, and Community
I’m honored to support the Bellingham Food Bank, an organization that has been showing up for this community for more than 50 years. What began as a small place where neighbors donated food has grown into a robust, compassionate network making sure everyone has access to the food they need — and the foods they want.
They do far more than fill cupboards. The Food Bank works to remove barriers, expand access, and offer high-quality, culturally relevant food with dignity and choice at the center. Their drive-through and home-delivery programs, created during some of the hardest years our community has faced, now help thousands of families every month. They even serve as a regional distribution hub, sending millions of pounds of food to partner food banks throughout Whatcom County.
They don’t just respond to hunger — they work on the root causes, including inequities and food injustice, because they believe (as I do) that hunger is simply unacceptable.
